A little about me...

I am a working mom who spends much of my day guiding and deescalating customers only to navigate the same landscape with my child who was born in February of 2010. I live in Minnesota with my husband, daughter, and our cat, Lucy. This blog is an attempt at... something, as random as it is. If you figure it out please let me know. Here's my original post of what I thought I might write about.

Reflecting back on the original post I guess it's a little spot on. I mentioned that I would likely write about my child, photography, dreams, remodeling, adoption, and my husband.

My child: Most of my posts revolved around my daughter, Riley. She's obviously a huge part of my life and pretty much the reason I started this blog. I wanted a way to document this constantly evolving time and to share our experiences with family. She's also a complete ham and fun to write about.

Photography: I also take a lot of photos and like to show them off here. Over the years I have been challenging myself to learn more about photography and really pushed myself starting in 2013. I have a lot to learn, but it's one of those things that really feeds me. I get excited about it and sometimes wish I would have taken that photography class when I was 16 like I wanted to. I guess it's never too late to learn.

Dreams: I don't write as much about my dreams anymore, but they do sneak in from time to time. I tend to have weird dreams where I remember every detail. It's fun to share these dreams, but I'd actually rather get some good, deep sleep.

Remodeling: Ha, if I wrote this blog 10 years ago it would have probably been all about remodeling, but you know I had a kid and things sort of slowed down. We still have some projects on the horizon, but they've been on the horizon for a long time. I'm all about demolition, but often get caught up in the details of putting things back together. So many decisions to make. If anyone wants to give me some suggestions on remodeling my very small bathrooms you will be my new best friend.

Adoption: I'm adopted and once worked for an adoption agency. It's obviously a big part of my life, but it doesn't define me. It's makes my life a little more complicated at times, but I can't imagine life any other way.

My Husband: He still hates having his picture taken, but I still take them. He is definitely my best friend, and a fantastic dad. Who knew that you could actually meet a nice guy online?
