September 4 on 4

Well another month has breezed by and I feel myself one step closer to fall. I just got back from a vacation in the Pacific Northwest and experienced leaves changing colors and falling to the ground in Washington which I just wasn't ready to see. I want to love fall, but here in Minnesota it means that winter is right around the corner... and that I could do without.

This month was full of family get togethers, birthday parties, our first sleep over, and our big vacation. We just got home and I immediately got a head cold as I seem to do after (or often during) a vacation. Does this happen to other people too? Anyhoo, I got it together and thought I'd show you some highlights from the month. Be sure to click the link at the bottom of the post to follow the circle.

This month's theme seemed to be parks. We live in a community with a lot of parks, but we tend to only go to three of them since they are within walking distance. We've now printed out a list of all the parks and when we want to try something new we pick from the list. We've had a lot of fun exploring these other playgrounds and probably won't get to them all this year, but that just leaves more adventures for next summer.

That sums up (part of) our August! Be sure to visit Kalen DeRoo at Kalen DeRoo Photography.

  3. Wonderful photos! I may have to copy your park theme, I know my son would love it. What part of Washington did you visit? I live in northern Oregon. I love the pacific northwest!

    1. I just realized I never responded to this! I've been watching your pictures on instagram and have been itching to go back to Hood River! We flew into Seattle and stayed with friends in Des Moines before driving down the coast to another friend who lives near Lincoln City, OR... and then we drove around Mt Hood, stopped in Hood City (which is where my husband now wants to move to) and then stayed in Cascade Locks before heading back to Seattle. It was a fantastic trip - so jealous that you get to live there!
